Tim Vine

PERRIER AWARD FOR BEST NEWCOMER 1996

Tim Vine has more punch lines per minute than any other comedian, certified by Guinness World Records in 2004. At full pelt Tim sprays out 10 jokes a minute, most oozing with that joyous juxtaposition of witty world play and silly puns. Channel 4 put him in a recent poll as the 36th Greatest Stand Up Comedian ever.

His TV work spans all five of the terrestrial channels, in fact he launched Five alongside Julia Bradbury, and most recently sees him starring as Tim Adams in BBC One primetime sitcom Not Going Out. He featured in the ITV Bafta award-winning The Sketch Show and frequently sells out theatres across the land as well at Edinburgh Festival.

His most recent Edinburgh show, Punslinger, show’s he’s still on top form and gaining critical acclaim from every angle. A prolific writer, an even more prolific performer, there’s no way you could possibly get more gags for your buck anywhere else.

"The man with the golden pun" The Independent

"One big irrepressible roller-coaster of mirth" The Stage

"Tim has taken the trick of word-play and extended it to lengths no other comedian has ever dared before. A very funny man indeed" Bob Monkhouse
