Full to the
brim with down to earth Northern charm, Mike takes a bemused glance at the
world and then throws it a smile. The laughs come thick and fast with
Wilkinson's dry humour and razor sharp wit. He recently supported Dave Spikey
on his latest UK tour.
Mike's been a
professional comic for almost a decade, beginning by reaching the finals of the
So You Think You Are Funny? new act competition in 2000 & making the final
of the City Live Comedian of the Year for North West acts the following year.
Since then he has supported the likes of Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas and Ross
Noble, as well as headlining clubs all over the country.
Mike has a
laid back style onstage, but can crush a heckler in seconds. He regularly
comperes and appears at The Frog and Bucket, Jongleurs and is a member of the
Comedy Store's topical improv. group - MEN at Work. Mike is also an
accomplished pianist and guitarist.
